Walking Meditation with Andrew Johnson

Walking Meditation

Walking meditation is a form of mindfulness practice that involves taking a slow, deliberate walk while focusing on the sensations of the body and the surrounding environment.

Unlike other forms of meditation that require sitting still, walking meditation allows practitioners to connect with their bodies and the present moment while in motion.

It can be a useful practice for individuals who find it difficult to sit still or for those who enjoy the benefits of exercise but also want to cultivate a sense of calm and presence.

Whether practiced alone or as part of a group, walking meditation can help reduce stress and increase overall well-being by promoting relaxation, concentration, and a sense of connection to the world around us.

Please note - there are periods of silence in this meditation to allow deeper mindful practice.

If you prefer gentle background music to fill these silences, please choose the “with music” version.

Once you are familiar with the concept, you can pause the track if you wish longer pauses in-between instructions.
